What we collect
Full name, phone number, best-effort location or selected district, optional NIN, consent timestamp, channel, referrer code, and verification status.
Why we collect it
We use this information to verify one endorsement per phone, deduplicate records, show public aggregate counts, prevent abuse, and let supporters invite others.
Location and NIN
GPS sharing is optional and only requested when you tap “Use my location”. Raw GPS is discarded server-side after geocoding. NIN is optional and format-checked only in the browser before submission.
Consent and your rights
By ticking the consent box, you agree that your details may be used to verify and count your endorsement. Under Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
Retention and contact
Records are retained only as long as needed for endorsement verification, audit, legal obligations, and campaign reporting. Contact: privacy@endorse.ug.
